The Midnight Walk

During my six-month internship at Moonhood, a Swedish indie game studio working on their first title “The Midnight Walk”, I crafted original sounds, recorded and edited audio, and implemented these sounds into the game engine. I also synchronized in-game dialogue, enhancing the narrative experience and ensuring player immersion.

Design

At Moonhood, I created sound effects, soundscapes and designed unique audio elements for characters and actions to enhance the game’s immersion. By experimenting with layering multiple audio sources and various sound synthesis techniques, I crafted sounds that greatly enhanced player engagement.

Implementation

I implented my sound effects and edited dialogue into the game engine, collaborating closely with creative director, Olov Redman, my mentor and lead audio designer, Ola Sivefäldt, and the programming team. Together, we optimized audio performance to enhance the gameplay experience. This collaboration ensured seamless integration that truly elevated the game’s atmosphere.
